Eunuchs are considered as the darker side of our society. They are the down trodden beings who are looked down upon as inferiors. By virtue of their being, eunuchs are not regarded at par with males and females. In India they are commonly known as Hijras and their number ranges from 50,000 to 5 million. The word Eunuch is for all practical purposes an abusive term. In our country eunuchs suffer an unenviable plight. As these people are not that educated, they indulge in cheap things to earn their livelihood. Most of them follow the old tradition and perform at weddings, baby showers and housewarmings.

Many times postponed, finally thumbs up…! The Delhi-Riyadh rapprochement is a perfect example of better late than never. It’s an entente of mutual cooperation and a reflection of global needs. Right since 26/11 Mumbai attacks, when New Delhi persuaded Beijing, Riyadh and other VIPs of the global arena to act tough on Pakistan, India made it loud and clear that its high time Pakistan dissuaded militants from using its soil for carrying out militant activities against India.

Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Chak De India, Swades, Pardes, Dil Se, Veer Zara, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaenge. The multiple and growing attacks on Indian students since last year has become a cause for concern. But the people at the helm of affairs seem to be taking it rather lightly.

It's not that I have any issues with a company making profit, so no offense please, to all the General Motors, Honda or Toyota's. But I cannot resist the temptation of putting into words my utmost sense of being cheated as a consumer.

Maya`s maya for statues...I`ve read this headline in a newspaper just a few days back. The headline struck into my mind while I was passing by a park, which is on my way to my office at Film City, Noida. This is the park which Mayawati wants to name after her, which for it`s elegance took numerous plants` lives. The thought of this park was really troubling me as crores of rupees, that can be utilised for other genuine purposes and issues, was being wasted like junk.
