Many civil service candidates are anxious to know about the Civil Services Aptitude Test or CSAT & want to know, whether the changes will be easier or difficult.
Aspirants for the civil services will be facing a different pattern of examination from this year (2011). What are the major criteria’s and questionnaire pattern in this examination? These are the weak points which can shake the mindset of the candidate. But, you need not to worry at all as because we will provide you certain Essential guidelines on CSAT, on which you have to work upon and thereby you can make your seats reserved.
In the beginning the candidates will have to attempt two papers with a General Studies Paper and the other one is the Optional paper in which the candidate will have to select one subject among the 23 subjects listed by UPSC. According to changes in the Preliminary examination Candidates will have to appear in two objective-type papers, which will be a General Studies Paper and the other one will be the General Aptitude Paper. The Aptitude paper will replace the previously existing Optional subject paper. On effecting this mode, Civil Services Preliminary Examination will be called as Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT).
Note : The Most common question is ------ will the IAS mains pattern also change?
This change will be effective only for the Preliminary examination and the Main examination will remain unchanged.
