New Delhi: In a shocking incident, the niece of Congress MP from Secunderabad found dead at her home in Hyderabad on late Sunday. According to her family members, Mayuri was allegedly killed for dowry. They claimed that she was burnt alive, when her family members were failed to fulfill demands of in-laws.
Mayuri was niece of Congress MP from Secunderabad- Anjan Kumar Yadav. Police have registered a case against the Mayuri's in-laws. ACP ( Madhapur), K Govardhan Reddy says, "The parents of Mayuri had earlier approached some elders complaining dowry harassment though no formal complaints had been registerd with the police."
Meanwhile, Mayuri's in-laws' claimed that she had committed suicide following a pity domestic dispute. However, police have set up a team of officials to investigate the case. The death comes just a week after Union Minister Jaipal Reddy's niece was allegedly killed for dowry.
