2 cops shot dead as terrorists attack police station in Srinagar

Srinagar: Two policemen were shot dead after terrorists attacked a police team in Srinagar's Zadibal on Monday, media reports said.

The militants attacked the police station — located in a densely populated and congested area in central Srinagar, — and fired at the police officers at close range.

According to the sources, the terrorists killed an Assistant Sub-Inspector and one constable and then fled away from the police station.

A month back, militants pulled three unarmed policemen off a vehicle and shot them dead in South Kashmir's Shopian district.
