26/11 Mumbai terror attack: David Headley's cross examination begins today

Mumbai: LeT terrorist turned approver David Headley will be cross examined in Mumbai special court from Wednesday.

He will cross-examined by Abdul Wahab Khan, the lawyer of Sayed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal, one of the prime accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. Special Public Prosecutor in the case Ujjwal Nikam will also be present.

Headley was deposed before a Special Court in Mumbai between February 8 and February 13 after he turned approver in return for being pardoned by the Indian authorities.

He made some stark revelations about the planning behind the terror attacks and his role in the same.

Apart from admitting his links with Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), ISI, Al-Qaeda and other terror groups, Headley admitting to conducting several spying missions in Mumbai prior to the 26/11 attacks.

He also told the court that he drew maps, took video footage and scouted several targets for the attacks including the Taj Hotel, Oberoi Hotel and Nariman House during his five visits between 2006 and 2008.
