26-year old girl dumps IIT-M for sainthood

Chennai: In a shocking incident, a 26-year old engineering designs student has dumped Indian Institute of Technology Madras to attain sainthood in Himalayas.

According to reports, Vedantam L Prathyusha, a resident of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and a second year MS student in IIT-M, went missing from hostel on Tuesday leaving behind a bizarre bi-lingual note in her hostel room, which stated that she was heading to Himalayas to attain sainthood.

IIT-M in a statement said that it has lodged a missing person complaint on request of the parents, who confirmed that she hadn’t returned to home.
