New Delhi, Sep 23: We already know about the movies of 2017 Diwali season! However, lets build up our apetities for 2018 as we look forward to welcoming another new year! Here are three big movies of 2018:
* Director Neeraj Pandey will be back with yet another intriguing film in 2018, this time with Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee in the lead roles. Like most of his films, this crime drama titled 'Aiyaary', is also apparently based on the real life story of a mentor and a protege in the military. This is the first time that the two actors will be seen sharing screen space. 'Aiyaary', which has been extensively shot in Delhi, Kashmir and London is expected to hit theatres on 26 January 2018.
Manikarnika - Queen of Jhansi
The subject of the life of the Queen of Jhansi, Rani Laxmibai remained a favourite of many in Bollywood filmmakers for the longest time. Right from Sushmita Sen to Mahesh Manjrekar to Ketan Mehta, all wanted to make a film on the warrior queen. However, the one who walked out with the cake is none other than director Krish, who now holds the reigns of the movie along with his lead star Kangana Ranaut, portraying the titular role. The film also features actors like Atul Kulkarni, who will play the role of Pandurang Tope and television’s popular star Ankita Lokhande making her Bollywood debut as Jhalkari Bai. Early this year, the team announced the launch of the film.
This Abhishek Kapoor directorial marks the Bollywood debut of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Arora’s daughter Sara Ali Khan. The star kid is being romantically paired opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. The makers released a motion poster of the film recently which had a tagline ‘Love is a pilgrimage’. Although the story line of the film is still unclear, Sushant reportedly plays a tour guide who carries the old and ailing to the holy place.
