4 Reasons for Spotting before Periods

Spotting before periods can be an alarming situation. You could be in the midst of a busy time and then aunt flow decides to give you these spots. You need to be aware of these reasons as they might lead to illnesses. Here are four of them:

* Decline in your Estrogen levels: One out of ten women experience light spotting during ovulation in their menstrual cycle because of a brief decline in their estrogen levels  that happens when an egg is departed from an ovary. This type of spotting usually occurs about ten to fourteen days before your next period. Spotting can also occur due to reduction of the level of estrogen which usually precedes ovulation. Eat alot of beans and dried fruits to balance the estrogen levels.

* Thyroid Levels arent maintained: A slow thyroid (hypothyroidism) can create changes and imbalances in your metabolism, sense of body temperature, and period, but is rarely life threatening.

* Implantation Spotting: You might have conceived! Implantation happens 6-12 days after the "magical revelry time"! It could be from the 20th day - the time you are due. When the embryo implants in the uterus, tiny blood vessels can erupt and cause the expectant mother to spot.

* You have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS): Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal imbalance that interferes with normal ovulation and can cause abnormal bleeding, or spotting between periods. It can also cause annoying things like unwanted hair and acne. It is very common in teen girls and young women.
