6.0 Magnitude jolts Japan; No tsunami warning

Tokyo: An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted Japan on Friday morning.

According to the US Geological Survey, the quake hit at 11:30 am (0239 GMT) 56 Km south east of Shingu at a depth of 10 km.

No casualties or damage to properties have been reported so far.

Japan Meteorological Agency said that the "earthquake poses no tsunami risk."
