Originally from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh, Ramcharan is a painter and lives in a 'jhuggi' near ITO.He doesn't have a proper roof on his head, but he is a 'benami' crorepati. Recently ED officials came looking for him and asked him about his company. Ramcharan couldn't understand what the police was saying. Shock was to come later. Officials asked him about source of the Rs 40 crore that he has in his accounts. Then he was made to meet `employees' of the company in which he was 'director'. Ramcharan coludn't take it any longer and was about to faint.

It was then that the ED officials realise that somebody has used Ramcharan's Voter ID and PAN card to get a account opened in his name, at the Kashmere Gate brancjh of Axis name, showing him as director of a company.

This is same case in which two Axis Bank mnagers have arrested for converting black money into white. ED is now probing the case. A total of eleven accounts have been seized, one of which is that of a `benami' Ramcharan which has Rs 40 crore.
