After UP now children die in another BJP-ruled state for want of oxygen

New Delhi: According to the reports pouring in from agencies, three children have died due to lack of oxygen supply.  The deaths have occurred at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital in Chhattisgarh's Raipur city. The hospital authorities have, however, have refuted this allegation.

As reported in ANI, R Prasanna, Director, Health Services, said that the children died due to illness.

“Yesterday there was a drop in oxygen pressure, there was no cut in oxygen supply. CMO & Supt. immediately intervened, sorted the issue. Deaths of children are due to illness, information will be shared shortly,” Prasanna told ANI. Sensing the sensitivity of the situation Chief Minister Raman Singh has ordered a probe into the death of the three children.

ANI tweeted, "Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh orders probe into death of 3 children in Raipur's BR Ambedkar Hospital due to lack of oxygen supply, last night." This is a shocking news as just a couple of days back more than 70 children were killed under similar circumstances at Baba Raghav Das Medical College Hospital in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Details are awaited soon as it may further dent the image of th BJP.
