Arjun Kapoor is on a roll. After being associated with projects like Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Panipat and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, the actor has been signed for another big film. Kapoor will be working with director Rajkumar Gupta on his next film titled India’s Most Wanted.
In a span of 5-6 years, he has carefully and instinctively chosen a mix of subject-oriented and flashy movies.
The actor took to Twitter to share a note on the completion of six years of his cinematic journey whilst sharing the information about his new project. The actor tweeted, “To the past, to the now and to the future. Thank you for everything. See you at the movies.”
Specially on India's Most wanted, he mentioned, “I have been working on the script of India’s Most Wanted for past three years. It’s an inspiring story that has touched and moved me. I am looking forward to my collaboration with Fox Star Studios and Arjun Kapoor on this film. Arjun is a sincere and hardworking actor and suited the character,” filmmaker Rajkumar Gupta said on the subject.
What's the movie all about? It’s going to be Arjun Kapoor’s first film where he will be seen playing a RAW agent on the big screen. As per reports, the film is based on the life of RAW agent Ravinder Kaushik. Talking about the project, Arjun Kapoor said, “Working with Raj Kumar sir obviously excited me. His films are raw, gritty, they talk about true events, true heroes. When he narrated India’s Most Wanted to me I was moved, I was proud of my motherland and its unsung heroes. It is a film that will inspire patriotism within all of us.
Thus, what does it take to be a true RAW Agent in movies? The spy film genre, despite its potential hasn't been explored to its fullest in Bollywood. But that doesn't mean there's any dearth of memorable efforts. Here are three characterisitics that RAW Agents need to garner to be very, very sharp:
* The Informer: (Bursting out in that Apache Indian tune? To earth! To earth! People) They lead a double life, while constantly living on the edge, on their toes.
* The 'Noir' Personalities: No greay areas. Each agent becomes a discourse to the janta, making them contemplate what could happen, would have happened, should have happened.
* The Infiltrater: They mostly infiltrate the terrorist organisation by placing two insiders. But, when one of the insider gets killed, it becomes important to save the remaining one from getting caught.
