Asia Cup Hockey..India thrash Japan 5-1 in inaugural match

New Delhi, Oct 12: India started their campaign at the Asia Cup Hockey 2017 tournament with a thumping victory over Japan on Wednesday. The tournament is being played in Dhaka.    

In the inaugural match India thrashed Japan. This marks a winning debut for the new national coach Marijne. In the first twoo quarters it was a close contest, but it was in the third and fourth quarter that India was able to prove superiority. Now, India will play Bangladesh on 13th before taking on Pakistan on 15th.
