New Delhi: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has been hospitalised for under medical advice. On Sunday, the actor had tested positive for coronavirus. Taking to his Instagram profile, the actor informed that he has been admitted to hospital as a precautionary measure under medical advice, while thanking everyone for their warm wishes.
"Thank you everyone for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working. I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon. Take care," the actor wrote in his Instagram post.
Reportedly, he was admitted to Mumbai's Hiranandani hospital at around 5 pm on Sunday. In his social media post, the actor had said that he is isolating himself after testing positive for covid-19.
“I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon," he had said.
Meanwhile, on Monday morning, reports surfaced that as many as 45 crew members who were supposed to start work on Akshay Kumar-starrer Ram Setu have tested positive for the coronavirus. Around 100 crew members were expected to join the production, which was underway at Mumbai's Madh island. As the second wave of the novel virus in the state peaks, nearly half of them have testes positive.
Last week, Akshay Kumar had taken to Instagram to share his first look from in Ram Setu. The film will see Akshay Kumar in the role of an archaeologist.
Ram Setu was announced last year. The Muhurat shot of the film was shot last month in Ayodhya where the construction of the Ram Temple is currently underway.
