THE BAJAJ V15 HAS NOW BEEN INTRODUCED IN A NEW COCKTAIL WINE RED COLOUR, BESIDES THE EXISTING EBONY BLACK AND PEARL WHITE OPTIONS.
The newly launched Bajaj V15 has already cracked the code to enter the list of top 10 selling motorcycles in India within just a month of its launch. Now, the company has come up with a new update to the bike targeting towards more customers. For those who were not satisfied with the limited 2 colour options available with the bike, Ebony Black and Pearl White, Bajaj has introduced a new Cocktail Wine Red paint scheme. Apart from the new paint, there are no mechanical updates in the bike and it continues to retail at Rs. 62,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Bajaj V15 is a premium commuter with impressive styling and a decent 150cc air-cooled engine. The bike comes with a nostalgic value as it features a part of the INS Vikrant's metal in its body, the first aircraft carrier in the Indian Armed Forces. Proved as a true war hero many times, including the 1971 Indo-Pak war, Vikrant was ordered to be decommissioned in 1997 and dismantled recently. Bajaj took an initiative to revive the lost glory of the Indian war hero and purchased a part of its metal to use in a special motorcycle with a solid build and thus introduced the V15.
Featuring a retro-modern styling with the pumped up fuel tank, imposing front fascia and a classic tail, the Bajaj V15 looks unique from other motorcycles in its segment. Build on a solid double cradle construction, it comes with an ergonomic design which is ideal for day to day commutes as well as long rides. The bike comes with a removable pillion seat cowl which provides a more premium feel to it.
Coming to the performance, the new 150cc DTS-i engine has been tuned for better low and mid range torque delivery and it puts out 13Nm at just 5,500rpm. The maximum power output of the bike is 12PS at 7,500rpm, which is the lowest in the 150cc segment; however, the better torque redeems it and helps in city riding conditions. Other key features of the bike include a bright 60W headlamp, stylish alloy wheels, 240mm front petal disc brake and 120-section wide tubeless tyre at the rear.
