New Delhi: After Jio made its way in the world of technology by introducing 'JioPhone', the trials are set to be out on August 15 to limited people only. The ultimate rush to pre-order the smartphone will begin on August 24, offline and online. However, the handset it expected to launch in September.
For the booking, one can check the MyJio app on August 24. Prior to that, you can get updates on the Jio.com website by clicking 'Keep Me Posted'. The registration procedure is simple, you, however, need to provide your company's PAN or GSTN number if you own a business. One can also specify the number of handsets they require. Once registered, you will receive the updates during the launch via SMS or email.
In case, you cannot have an access to MyJio, you can head to an offline Jio retailer on August 24.The company has stated that they would deliver the 4G feature phone on a first come, first serve basis, aiming at 5 million sales each week.
According to Reliance Industries Chairman, Mukesh Ambani, Jio Phone will be free of cost. Meanwhile, it requires the customer to pay Rs 1500, which is refundable after three years. Mukesh Ambani also mentioned, "The security deposit is necessary to avoid any potential misuse of data."
