Beatles' producer Sir George Martin, who is often known as the "Fifth Beatle", passed away at the age of 90. The news was announced by band's drummer Ringo Star. "God bless George Martin peace and love to Judy and his family love Ringo and Barbara. George will be missed," he shared on Twitter. Born on 3 January 1926 in London, Martin attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama from 1947 to 1950. Following his graduation, he worked with BBC's classical music department before joining EMI in 1950. Sir George joined Beatles in early 1962, producing more than 700 records. In recognition of his services to the music industry and popular culture, he was made a Knight Bachelor in 1996.
