CBI probe in Rajdeo Rajan killing, Shahabuddin under scanner

New Delhi:  CBI will probe the murder of  journalist Rajdeo Ranjan.  Sources say a CBI team will soon leave for Siwan after it registers a case in Ranjan’s muder. The state government had requested the CBI to take over the case on request of the victim’s family.  Rajan was killed on May 13 this year.

CBI sources say that  Mohammed Shahabuddin too will be under scanner. The case was highlighted again in media when Rajan muder suspects Mohammad Kaif and Mohammad Javed were seen with Mohammed Shahabuddin after he was released from jail.

Rajan’s wife, Asha Ranjan has welcomed the move. However, Asha said  that  she will  she will be satisfied only after  CBI speaks to her. Earlier in the day, Asha had filed a petition in Supreme Court asking that a case be registered against Shahabuddin  and Tej Pratap  for killing her husband. Recently photographs have appeared in media showing Kaif and Pratap together.
