New Delhi: Declaring media reports that the Union Cabinet has passed an ordinance to defer implementation of Supreme Court-ordered NEET as the sole entrance test for admissions to medical colleges as baseless, Health Minister JP Nadda on Friday said that the second phase of the exam would take place on July 24.
“Let me make it clear, NEET has been implemented and is in existence, first phase is over & 2nd phase will take place on 24th July,” said Mr. Nadda. “Media reports that Centre is trying to put an end to NEET through an ordinance are baseless.”
He further added that there was a Cabinet meeting today wherein several issues were discussed. “We are consulting and are seeing to it that a foolproof arrangement is made,” the member of Rajya Sabha from Himachal Pradesh said.
