Criminal case filed against AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi

Hyderabad: A criminal case has been filed against All India Majlis-e-Itttehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi after his party workers allegedly thrashed Congress workers in Hyderabad.

Owaisi however refuted the allegation and instead blamed Congress fueling the confrontation.

The incident occurred when several AIMIM workers led by Owaisi arrived at Mir Chowk police station and had a heated argument with Congress workers, who were there in the police station to secure the release of another candidate.

Several Congress leaders, including Uttam Kumar Reddy and Shabbir Ali sustained minor injuries.
