Deepa Malik becomes first Indian woman to win medal at Paralympics, bags silver in shotput

Rio de Janeiro: India's Deepa Malik on Monday bagged a silver medal in the Women's Shot Put - F53 event at the 2016 Rio Paralympics Games here, clinching the silver with a personal best throw of 4.61 metres.

She is a paraplegic, paralysed from waist down and mother of two and wife of an Army officer.
