New Delhi, Feb 23: Sanjay Leela Bhansali decided to take Sonam Kapoor under his wings to give the actress a dream launchpad back then in the year 2007. But, Saawariya flopped at the box office, however Sonam gradually made her mark in Bollywood. Today she is known as as a fashionista and known all over the globe for her great fashion sense. Sonam has come a long way in the film industry now.
The hot actress has worked with several renowned filmmakers in the meantime but she never got the chance to work again with her first director. In fact, Bhansali has found his muse in Sonam's contemporary, Deepika Padukone. In the last five years, he has made three films with Deepika as the leading lady.
Upon being asked why Sonam has never worked with Bhansali again after her debut, she told HuffingtonPost, "I don't think I am his kind of actor. That's what it is. I am eternally grateful to him for giving me my debut but I just don't think I am his kind of an actor. If he thought I suited something, I am sure he'll cast me again."
Sonam added that she shares a comfortable relationship with directors like Shashanka Ghosh, R Balki, Ram Madhvani. "I've worked with the best. For Mehra sir, I am willing to bend backward. With some people, you just share a great relationship. It's easy. I know what they want, and they know what I can deliver," said Sonam.
