Delhi under unprecedented water crisis: Kejriwal

New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday morning expressed deep concern over the unprecedented water crisis in Delhi, which has been triggered by the ongoing Jats’ protest for reservation in jobs and educational institutions.

“Since last two days, the agitators in Haryana have blocked water coming from Munak canal, which has led to a severe crisis in the national capital,” Kejriwal said.

In order to resolve the issue and restart the supply of water by any means, Delhi CM is in constant touch with Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

“I have personally talked to Rajnath Singh and Haryana CM and requested them to send in the Army (to open the gates of Munak Canal),” he added.
