Delhi's Metro Blue Line suffers as snag hits services

Passengers traveling on Delhi Metro's blue line (beginning from Dwarka and leading up-to Noida/Vaishali) encountered slowed services because of a failure in the track circuit. The track circuit had stopped functioning near Rajendra Place Station. The dilemma occurred at 9.02 AM yesterday at Dwarka metro station, which led to trains running at a decelerated speed of 25 km per hour between Rajendra Place and Patel Nagar Metro stations. The malfunctioning of the track circuit needs detailed investigation to identify the actual cause of problem for which access to track is required for longer duration. It is best thought to do the investigation after peak hours have ended. New Delhi: DMRC officials said that constant efforts were made from morning onwards to rectify the track circuit problem by allowing small intervention access to allow as much continuity in service as possible at the tracks.
