Mumbai: In a stark revelation in the controversial Sheena Bora murder mystery, prime accused Indrani Mukherjea accepted that she had informed Peter about Sheena’s murder on April 24, 2012.
“Indrani has admitted that she had told Peter about her daughter Sheena's murder on April 24, 2014, the day when the crime took place," the agency told Special CBI judge HS Mahajan while replying to Peter Mukerjea's bail application.
"Indrani had revealed this while recording her statement (before CBI) on December 15 last year," CBI said.
The central probe agency opposed the bail of former media baron Peter Mukherjea on the grounds that he was a part of the conspiracy and had concealed information about Sheena’s disappearance from Rahul Mukherjea, her fiancé.
"Peter was in touch with prime accused and his wife Indrani from the day of Sheena's murder and till her body was disposed the next day. He was also part of the conspiracy and had concealed the fact (about Sheena's death) from his son Rahul Mukerjea," the agency told the court.
The court adjourned the hearing of Peter Mukherjea’s bail plea till January 30.
