Dubious Pak! Terrorists on Pak stamps and PM Imran Khan extends olive branch

New Delhi, Sep 20, News24 Bureau: If this is not a dubious stand of Pakistan then what else is? On the one hand, Pakistan is calling the terrorist victims and is putting them on Pak stamps and on the other hand Pak PM is writing to Indian PM. Which face of Pakistan can be trusted? Just a day back the heinous act of Pak troops was witnessed as they mutilated mercilessly body of the Indian soldier.

The stamps in Pakistan have pics of dreaded terrorists Bruhan Wani, whose death had triggered a big movement in the Valley. Besides Wani the Pak stamps have pics of pellet gun 'victims'.

According to a report in Times Of India, the stamps were issued on 'Kashmir Martyrs Day' by the Philately Bureau, Karachi and are available on e-bay for $6.99 (approximately Rs 500). In Pakistan, the stamps are sold at Rs8 (local currency) per piece.

Philatelists in India are not amused, the report stated. "It is nothing but an attempt by the neighbouring country to malign our country’s image. I am a philatelist for more than two decades, but I have never come across such stamps that are a distortion of facts. The postal departments issue commemoration stamps to popularise their culture and uniqueness, but this is in poor taste," philatelist C Tamilvannan told TOI.

The Pakistan Post has issued 20 “commemorative” postage  stamps portraying terrorists as victims in Jammu Kashmir. Along with the images the stamps have captions as 'use of chemical weapons’, ‘use of pellet guns’. (A TV grab of Times Now)
