Washington: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was in Washington to attend the Fourth Nuclear Security Summit (NSS), departed for Riyadh on late Friday evening.
"Farewell Washington! After 2 days of intense diplomacy, PM @narendramodi leaves for final leg of his 3 nation tour," Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
In Saudi Arabia, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and focus on reviving India's strategic partnership with the oil-rich nation, particularly in areas of counter-terrorism, energy and trade.
Soon after his arrival in Riyadh, PM Modi will visit the historic Masmak fortress, following which will meet with members of the Indian community.
The meeting with the members of the Indian diaspora will be followed by a visit to the L&T workers' residential complex.
On Sunday, the prime minister will visit the Tata Consultancy Services' (TCS) all-women IT centre, which will be followed by a meeting with select top Saudi business leaders.
He will leave for New Delhi late Sunday afternoon.
