New Delhi: With his comeback in Omung Kumar's 'Bhoomi' Sanjay Dutt seems to be in full work-mode. Based on the father-daughter relationship, 'Bhoomi' also features Aditi Rao Hydari who will play Dutt's daughter in the movie.
Sanjay and Omung are teaming up for another movie and the filmmaker announced Dutt's next movie, The Good Maharaja.
The makers of the film released the first poster of the movie in which Sanjay is seen in a new avatar donning a royal attire. Dutt will be playing the role of the ruler of a princely state in British India, Nawangarh. Maharaja Jam Sahib Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji during his reign provided shelter to hundreds of abandoned Polish children during the World War II.
Omung has been working on the English-Polish production for a year-and-a-half and the makers also met the Polish government to seek shooting permissions for the film.
Speaking about Dutt's look, Omung stated,"We have photographs of the Maharaja for reference. We will take certain creative liberties but are trying to keep things as authentic as possible. Sanjay looks regal and it was his idea to do this role and I wanted to direct it because it's a superb story."
Producer Sandeep Singh further added, "Sanjay Dutt's image has the aura of royalty. We have done look tests and we are very excited with the outcome. Baba is very excited about this film and this will be a big budget film that will span across continents."
