Five Lashkar terrorists killed in Kashmir

New Delhi, Sep 21 Aasif Suhaf: In Jammu & Kashmir, with the killing of three more militants the death toll of unidentified (probably foreign Lashker) militants reached five in the gunfight at Shokhbaba Sumlar area in North Kashmir's Bandipora district.Defence spokesman said that the weapons and war-like stores was recovered from the encounter site. He said that search operation is still in progress.Two militants were killed in a counter militant operation launched by Army, CRPF & Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K Police in the area late yesterday afternoon.Security sources said that the Operation had been temporarily suspended late yesterday evening in view of darkness after killing of two militants in the initial phase of the operation.However, the multi layered cordon remained intact and the search operation was resumed today morning. They said that during the intense search operation the contact with the hiding militants was re-established triggering fresh gunfight. During the ensuing encounter, three more militants were killed.Security sources said that the slain could be cadres of Lashkar e Toiba.
