New Delhi: Revising its 30-day return policy, Flipkart has shortened the window where now a customer can send back a product bought from the website within 10 days.
The e-retail website has reduced the return policy period for its top selling products such as mobile phones and other electronics appliances however the 30 day return policy will continue to exist only for clothing, footwear, watches, jewellery and fashion accessories, as well as large appliances.
India’s largest e-commerce firm also told sellers to pay higher commissions from June 20.
Other online marketplaces like Amazon and Snapdeal have also narrowed the window for customers to return products this year.
Flipkart has been receiving complaints from sellers because of its no-question-asked return policy under which sellers have to pay for the return shipping. Sellers said the revised policy will increase product prices on the Flipkart platform by about 9%.
