Ford Endeavour launched in India at INR 24.76 lakh

Ford has launched the much awaited new avatar of its flagship SUV Endeavour in India with a base price of INR 24.76 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).

The new version of the SUV stands at 4,892 mm of length, 1,860 mm of width and 1,837 mm of height. It boasts a wheelbase of 2,850 mm and a massive ground clearance of 225 mm.

There are two diesel engines on offer - a 2.2L unit churning out 158 bhp and 385 Nms of torque which is mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AT. The 3.2L unit churning out 197 bhp and 470 Nms of torque which is mated to a 6-speed AT only. Both are available in 2 variants - Trend and Titanium. 2.2L prospective buyers have the option to choose between a 4x2 or 4x4 + manual in Trend trim or a 4x2 + AT in Trend and Titanium trim, while the 3.2L is available with 4x4 + AT only in both variants.

Ford has stepped up the game to match the market demand, some such features are the ORVMs with integrated turn-indicators and electronic adjustment and fold function, leather upholstery, leather-wrapped steering & gear knob, 8-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, rear parking sensors, rear view camera, dual-zone climate control, rear air-con i.e. ceiling vents for rows 2 & 3, rear wiper with washer and defogger, power lift tailgate, rain sensing wipers and cruise control, LED tail-lamps and LED DRLs, interior ambient lighting, auto headlamps with HIDs and jet wash, front parking sensors, tyre pressure monitor and side puddle lamps, electric panoramic sunroof, power folding 3rd row and semi-automatic parallel park assist. Safety features like disc brakes on all 4 wheels, dual airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, TC, hill launch assist, emergency assistance and Ford MyKey are standard across all variants. The 2.2-litre Titanium also gets side curtain airbags and a burglar alarm. The 3.2-litre Titanium is equipped with a driver knee airbag too. Terrain management system and hill descent control are standard with the 4x4 variants.

All variants are equipped with a TFT touchscreen infotainment system which supports CD, Aux-in, 2 USB ports and Bluetooth. The car is equipped with Ford's SYNC 2 technology and 10 speakers. It also gets Integrated Active Noise Cancellation.

There are 6 colours to choose from - Sunset Red, Golden Bronze, Moondust Silver, Panther Black, Diamond White and Smoke Grey. All variants come with 18-inch alloy wheels that are shod with 265/60 section tyres.
