Ghulam Ali's Mumbai visit cancelled following Shiv Sena's protest

Mumbai (Vinod Jagdale for News24): In the wake of Shiv Sena's protest against Pakistani ghazal singer Ghulam Ali, the music launch event of TV show host-turned-filmmaker Suhaib Ilyasi's upcoming flick 'Ghar Wapsi' was cancelled on Wednesday.

Ali, who has sung a patriotic song in the movie apart from acting in it, was scheduled to arrive in Mumbai to attend the event, scheduled on Friday.

However, Ali's visit was called off after Shiv Sena allegedly threatened to disrupt the event.

According to sources, Ilyasi of TV reality show 'India's Most Wanted' fame had also requested Shiv Sena not to disrupt the event, but to no avail.

In October last year, Ali's concerts in Mumbai and Pune were cancelled following Shiv Sena's protest.
