Jammu: Pilgrimage has great significance in Hindu religion and spirituality. People who engage in activities of worshiping god and goddesses take every initiative to have the best darshan of their god.
Devotees travel miles to pray and even consider the 'Chaar Dham Yatra'.
As per a shrine board official, Old (natural) cave of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine will be opened for pilgrims from Monday.
“Old (natural) cave has now been opened for pilgrims for darshan of pindies of Mata Vaishno Devi as per usual practice in vogue,” Dr Piyush Singla, Addl CEO, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board said. SDM Bhawan has been authorized to regulate the darshan through natural cave considering the yatra crowd at Bhawan to avoid any inconvenience to pilgrims, he added.
Addl CEO further said that due to continuous heavy flow of yatra the darshan through old cave is not possible and hence kept closed for Yatris through out the year, adding, “natural cave is opened only for few days after Makar Sankranti.”
