Govt will put Rs 1000 daily in your account if you make digital payment

New Delhi: In a bid to push cashless transcations the government has announced prizes for those opting for cashless mode to make payments.The prizes will be daily and weekly under the 'Lucky Grahak Yojna' announced on Thursday.


Under the 'Lucky Grahak Yojana', government will give a cash prize of Rs 1,000 each daily  to 15,000 consumers and Rs 1 lakh each per week to 7000 consumers. Winners will be selected via luck draw starting from December 25. The scheme will run for 100 days from November 8.


All those who have made cashless payments after the note ban announcement will be eligible for the luck draw, which will be based on transaction IDs of the payments.

Announcing the scheme Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant said," The government has started a number of steps to combat the scourge of corruption and black money in the last two-and-a-half years." (News24Bureau)
