Gurugram-hit-and-run case: 7-Year-Old Ryan International student Jia dies

The seven-year-old student of Ryan International School Jia who was hit on May 9 by a speeding car has lost her battle of life and succumbed to her injuries. Parents of the girl have alleged that the school bus had dropped her much away from the assigned bus stop and that too on the wrong side of the road which ultimately led to her accident.

The unfortunate incident occurred on May 9 near Krishna Colony in Sector 9. Soon after the conductor of her school bus dropped her at the wrong bus stop, the girl began crossing the road on her own and allegedly hit by the speeding car. There was no one who could help her cross the road. The girl sustained severe injuries which led to swelling in her brain. Jia had been admitted to the ICU at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Doctors had been monitoring her after she slipped into coma.

The question that comes here why there is no guarantee to the safety of innocent school students despite spending thousands in the school fees? The incident also raises serious questions about the attitude of private schools and the safety standards that they follow.
