If we keep criticizing ourselves, why should world look at us?: PM Modi at Sri Sri fest

New Delhi: Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s three-day World Culture Festival, which was caught up in controversy over environmental and security concerns, began Friday evening — unperturbed by the heavy rain that turned the pathway to the Yamuna floodplain into a mush.

Addressing the gathering at the mega cultural festival, Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed all the people to the land of India. Here are the highlights:

~ It’s not just the economic issues that bind the world together, but it can be connected with humanity as well. It should be.

~ India has the cultural legacy that the whole world is looking for. To some extent, we can meet their demands; which is only possible if we take pride and honor in our legacy.

~ If we keep calling ourselves bad, criticise everything, then why will the world look at us?

~ I want to congratulate Sri Sri ji and all participants for presenting such a diverse image of India to world.

~ The World Culture Festival is like the 'Kumbh mela' of art and culture.

~ The market is full of music that shakes the body, but to shake your mind, that music is available exclusively in India.

~ Through Sri Sri, I congratulate every artist, musician and workers of 'Art Of Living' for giving as positive image of the country and its culture.
