New Delhi: It's just like Yuvraj Singh's smashing comeback in Indian cricket team. We are talking about return of Nokia brand in the mobile market. It was a spectacular return for Nokia, with its new budget smartphone. People bought it like crazy, and in just 60 seconds, all the available units were sold out.
Nokia's new parent company, HMD Global, has come out with Nokia 6. For this it hosted a flash sale in China. In 60 seconds every unit in stock was gone. Nokia 6 at prsent is available only through JingDong Mall, JD.com. The flash sale generated 1,337,773 pre-registrations.
Nokia 6 comes with an entry-level Snapdragon 430 64-bit octa-core processor with Adreno 505 graphics. The highlight is 4 GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch full HD display (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) and 64 GB of storage space. It has a 16-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel selfie camera and a powerful 3,000 mAh battery. It comes with dual SIM support, a front-mounted fingerprint scanner below the display, stereo speakers and an Android 7.0 Nougat.
Despite an entry-level processor, the other specifications of Nokia 6 make it rock at a price of $247 (Rs 16,500). It sports a high-quality body and is durable, a Nokia 6 video shows the smartphone cracking walnuts with its display and rear case, without taking any damage.
For now, it's available in China only.
