In Pics: World Monuments lit up in solidarity with Brussels

Monuments around the world lit up to stand in solidarity with the Belgium’s capital, Brussels that was struck by a series of attacks on Tuesday, killing at least 34 people and injuring 200 more. From Paris to Dubai, monuments projected red, black and yellow colours of the Belgium flag. Have a look: Eiffel Tower, Paris

“Eiffel Tower would feature the colours of the Belgian flag on Tuesday night in solidarity with Brussels.” tweeted Ms. Anne Hidalgo, mayor of Paris. Burj Khalifa, Dubai Burj Khalifa lights up in colours of Belgian flag as UAE condemns the attacks. Trevi Fountain, Rome Flag of Belgium projected onto Trevi Fountain in Rome. Bredenburg Gate, Berlin 468229 Berlin’s Bredenburg Gate also lit in Belgian colours to show Germany’s support for Brussels.

Palace in Dam Square, Amsterdam bathed in the Belgian colours.
