Guna (Madhya Pradesh): A case has been registered case against a man for allegedly raping his daughter-in-law while his son was away at school, police said.
The 21-year-old from Rajasthan approached the Myana police station in Guna district, claiming that her father-in-law had raped her and is now threatening to kill her, India Today reported.
The victim was married to a 22-year-old man from Guna who is a Class 12 student. The husband accompanied his wife to the police station to lodge the complaint.
“The woman alleged that she had been raped by her father-in-law while her husband had gone to school and that he was now threatening to kill her. The woman also alleged that her father-in-law was in possession of several illegal weapons, which he often brandished while threatening members of the family,” police said.
It was further alleged by the victim that the accused had raped other women in the family and threatened them to keep quiet. The man, however, claimed that he was being framed because of a property dispute.
The complainant’s father is associated with a political party in Rajasthan.
