Indian equity markets up on Wednesday

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday opened on a positive note during the morning session of the trade.

The Sensex of the BSE after opening at 24,044.96 points touched a high of 24,210.62 points and a low of 24,043.89points. On Tuesday the Sensex closed at 23,779.35 points.

On the other hand the broader 50-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 7,321.70 points after closing at 7,222.30 points on Tuesday. The Nifty is trading at 7,312.60 points in the morning.
