New Delhi: Several countries on Wednesday condemned Pathankot terror attack and expressed their solidarity with India.
The British High Commissioner Dr. Alexander Evans in a release said, “The UK strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Pathankot and offers condolences to the victims and their families. We are committed to working with India and other countries around the world to combat terrorism and bring the perpetrators of terrible crimes like these to justice.”
Condemning the attack, South Korea said, “Terrorism is a crime against humanity and inhuman act that cannot be justified in any circumstances."
Condoling the death of security personnel, Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni too affirmed solidarity with the people of India.
United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Ministry while condemning the “heinous” terror attack on the IAF base in Pathankot said that, “The UAE condemns the heinous terrorist attack on the Indian Air Force Base in Pathankot. We stand with India in its ongoing fight against terrorism."
“Terrorism and extremism know no borders and no limits and pose a threat to innocent people everywhere around the world. In order to contain the dangerous threat that terrorism poses to our countries and peoples, international cooperation is indispensable," the Ministry said in the statement released by official news agency Wam.
Sri Lanka while expressing condolences to the bereaved families denounced terrorism ‘in all its manifestation’.
Similarly, Brazil, Maldives and Nepal too expressed their solidarity with India.
