New Delhi: An intelligence alert has directed special Protection Group (SPG) that protects PM Modi to be more cautious, this republic day.
The alert was issued on Friday and circulated among SPG, police and intel units in NCR.
The inputs are understood to have said that terrorist groups, including Islamic State adherents, could be preparing teens to carry out a fidayeen attack on Prime Minister Narendera Modi.
They may have already sneaked into the country and are highly trained in weapons and explosives.
Following the inputs, SPG has urged PM Modi not to breach the security cordon.
Reports claim that security threat assessment has been on an all-time high in Delhi.
