New Delhi: With the odd-even scheme entering its second day, hundreds of thousands of odd-numbered cars were spotted rushing to their destination before 8 am today.
The restriction period is from 8am till 8pm. The private vehicles are free to play on roads before 8am or after pm.
Friday, the first day of the scheme was declared a success by Arvind Kejriwal, with as many as 203 people violating the norms.
According to reports, the first prosecution for violating the odd-even scheme took place at ITO junction about 33 minutes after the restrictions became operational at 8 AM on Friday. While 138 peoples were challaned by Delhi Traffic Police, 65 were fined by officials of Delhi Government's transport department.
