New Delhi: Amid the looming uncertainty over government formation in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, People's Democratic Party President (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital today.
Mufti, who arrived in New Delhi on Monday, has called for talks with the BJP leadership on March 24.
The state has been under governor's rule since former J&K Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed passed away three months back.
Mehbooba was in Delhi last week, during which she held talks with Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) president Amit Shah. However, her meeting with PM Modi failed to take place and she had to return to Srinagar.
The PDP had asked for assurances for time-bound implementation of the 'Agenda of Alliance' the common minimum programme between PDP and BJP.
Meanwhile, former J&K CM Omar Abdullah held a meeting with J&K Governor N. N. Vohra in Jammu, which assumes significance as the political crisis in the state deepens.
