Hisar: 28 people have been killed and 200 others have been injured in the Jat quota stir in Haryana.
Director General of Police Yashapl Singhal said that, “Twenty eight people have been killed during the stir.”
“We have arrested 127 persons and registered FIR against 535 others. Over 200 persons including few security personnel were also injured during the agitation," he said at a press conference.
Meanwhile, the Punjab and Haryana high court taking notice of media reports, which suggested that some women had been stripped and raped by the Jat agitators on Delhi-Ambala National Highway, said that the high court could not sit as a “mute spectator” to the reported incidents and that these needed to be probed by a “premier investigation agency”.
However, the Haryana government and state police vehemently such allegations saying that, ‘allegations made in the report are false and baseless’.
