Jet crew suspended for letting Sonu Nigam sing mid-air

New Delhi: Just weeks after the videos of Sonu Nigam singing mid-air were posted by some passengers on social media have gone viral; all five Cabin Crew members on the flight have been taken off from flight duty for inquiry for allowing playback artiste Sonu Nigam to sing from the plane's address system.

It also added that the flight announcement system was allegedly “misused” wherein singer Sonu Nigam was allowed to sing from the plane’s address system.

Jet statement on the issue reads as follows: "All Cabin Crew on the flight have been taken off from flight duty for enquiry and corrective training to reinforce strict adherence to operating procedures".

The passengers on a Jet Airways flight from Jodhpur to Mumbai requested Sonu Nigam, who was in the same flight, to sing for them. Nigam obliged and then took place the in-flight concert on January 4.

The playback artiste sang two of his most famous songs 'Panchhi nadiya' from the film 'Refugee' and 'Do pal ruka' from Yash Raj Films' 'Veer Zaara'.
