New Delhi, Oct 30: There have been numerous talks of Sridevi's elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor 's debut and the talks have been doinng the rounds for nearly one year now. Jhanvi has already created a mark of her own in Bollywood and has emerged a big fashionista just like her famous mother Sridevi.
If fresh reports are to be believed, Jhanvi was supposed to debut in the Hindi remake of Marathi blockbuster and presently the project is getting further delayed. According to sources, the actress may now make her debut with the remake of the Hollywood hit, The Fault In Our Stars.
Karan Johar, who will launch Jhanvi, is in two minds about the success of the Sairat remake. “It worked like a charm in Marathi because the story of a forbidden love affair across caste lines was anchored to the Maharashtrian milieu. Karan Johar wanted to relocate the plot to a more upmarket milieu and make it more Romeo & Juliet than play on caste. In doing so, the plot has become like any other love story. Furthermore, Shashank Khaitan (who is to direct the Hindi remake of Sairat) wants to do a lighter take on the original,” a source close to the project revealed.
Interestingly, Karan was also supposed to launch Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan, however, instead of waiting for Karan, she decided to go ahead with Abhishek Kapoor ‘s Kedarnath. A source close to the Kapoor’s tells, “Jhanvi is not impatient. She is willing to wait for Karan to find the perfect vehicle.”
