New Delhi: Your wait for Jio Dhamaka is over. The company is all set to drop a bomb that will paralyse both, the mobile phone makers and the telecom service operators. Come July 21, Jio will make you dance, as at the Reliance Annual General Meeting, boss Mukesh Ambani will announce a massive cut in 4G data tariffs along with new free offers. That's not all, Jio is likely to give you a 4G phone in just Rs 500.
The calls will continue to be free, but the tariffs for 4G data are likely to be reduced. The floor rates may come down to as low as Rs 50. What this means is that you will get 4G data, free calls, unlimited SMSs and free Jio Apps in Rs 50. These plans are being announced along with the low-cost 4G phone to attract low end customers. After, capturing the upper end of the market with its free data offers, Jio has changed its strategy to capture the low-income groups with attractive offers and low-cost phones.
