New Delhi, May 7: After taking Indian telecom sector to a storm with its competitive data plans at cheap at low cost, now Reliance Jio is focussing to be number one in broadband space. And to achieve that, Jio has already started rolling its JioFiber service in select cities.
As per the media reports, he company has already started offering broadband (fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) ) connections with 1.1TB of free data at a hi-speed of 100mbps in select cities and expected to roll out commercial services in the second half of the year.
As per the initial FTTH plan, Reliance Jio is planning to give away free data of 100GB at a speed of 100mbps. Post data limit, users can opt for a top-up of 40GB of free data 25 times in a month and if calculated, the company is giving away 1,100GB of data free to its users in a month.
If you are interested to avail Reliance Jio's JioFiber service, then you can get it by paying a refundable security deposit of Rs 4,500 after which the company will install the Jio router for hi-speed broadband connectivity in your house.
As of now, JioFibre service is available in select cities including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Chennai.
