New Delhi, August 15: Reliance Jio has opened registrations for the Jio GigaFiber high-speed broadband and invited people to show your interest in the service. The high-speed broadband was announced last month and the company claimed to give speeds upto 1Gbps. The company has tested the service in various cities and now will give priority to areas with the highest interest of the people for the rollout of the service. As per Reliance Jio AGM meeting held last month, Jio GigaFiber will be launched in 1,100 cities across the country, but still, no date is fixed for the official rollout. In the trial period, users reported download speeds of over 700Mbps.
Although the company has not announced the tariff plan of Jio GigaFiber, but rumours in the past rumours suggest that Jio Fiber could offer as much as 1.1 TB free data to its users after paying a refundable security amount of Rs. 4,500. The default plan will offer 100 GBs of free data per month at 100Mbps speed. Subscribers can also avail 40GB of additional data in the form of top-ups with a limit of 25 times in a month - effectively obtaining 1,100GB data.
